About BriTon Leap, Inc.
BriTon Leap, Inc. was founded in 1998 by Brian and Tonya Bailie. Their little enterprise was based on a leap of faith that the products' usefulness would be worth all the effort it took to bring them to market.
The first product was a shareware program called HUSKeeper, providing cataloging and conversion for Husqvarna Viking(tm) embroidery machine owners.
The next program was QuickParts+, used by sewing and vacuum retailers for parts ordering and pricing.
Eventually the fine folks at Tacony Corporation asked Brian to write an embroidery cataloging program for their dealers. That program debuted to a warm reception in August 2000, titled "Designer's Gallery". Tacony's brand, Designer's Gallery, has grown substantially over the years. For information about that brand, visit their website, www.designersgallerysoftware.com
The original Designer's Gallery program, later titled, "Studio" is very popular with PC users to this day. It was only natural that it would be the basis for the design of the MacEmb product, Convert it. The development of Apple products is not new to us here at BriTon Leap. Brian was developing products for sale for use with Apple 2+ back in the early 1980's, including Mr. Speaker, the first commercially available amplified speaker for a home computer. Our development team includes longtime Apple and IBM developers with nearly 90 years combined experience.
BriTon Leap is headquartered in New Mexico, with offices and support staff in Washington, Missouri, Pennsylvania and Ontario CA, with artists, distributors and collaborators worldwide.
The Bailies' leap of faith has been proven worthwhile, indeed!
